M83 and Omega cen

well just in the back yard of a friends house just south of perth, and utilizing the unused equipment (wo flt 132 and eq6pro thankyou grahame) i took a few shots with the 40d, temp was about 18 deg and seeing was pretty good during the evening. I think im going to restack m83 and see if i can get rid of the gradients present but over all im not to dissapointed

Omega cent 6x2 min no subtraction shots iso 800

Good to see some shots from you Brendan, had been wondering where the data had been going

Omega Cent looks good. A bit soft and illongated on the edges, typical of WO gear from my experience. Centre is nice and sharp. Guiding looks perfect as per usual.

Not sure how you've ended up with the colour gradients so extreme in M83! .. the centre being more netural-green, then going through red-orange to the edge which is blue-violet! Bizzar, I've never seen such gradient of colour before? .. quite an accomplishment perhaps Detail in M83 its self looks great. How about a crop image showing more detail in M83? Looks like there's plenty of detail there to show.

yeah i know about those gradients. im going to restack it all and sort out the nastyness. but considering that it was from the back yard just south of rockingham a 10min shot with no LP filter is golden but i fear that i might not get around to it yet as im off to egypt till the 17th in the next few days.

stay tuned
