Nooo! Looks like I can't attend SPSP this year

After attending the last 5 SPSP's in a row (since I got interested in Astronomy), it looks like i'll be missing my first one this year.

It's on 14-16 May, which is the same weekend that my Dad is having his 60th birthday party (up at Bellingen, near Coffs Harbour).

Very disappointed! I always love going to SPSP and catching up with new and old friends.

I hope everyone has a great time there - the weather can't be worse than last year LOL!

*sniff*

Hi Mike

Check with the old boy first. I had my 60th 15 years ago. If my son had said "Oh Gee dad, that's star party weekend" I would have said. "We can party any time. Lets' get our priorities right. Get the regos in"

What a tragedy, Mike. I will be on my lonesome in the Taj this year!

I guess these things happen from time to time. And it is going to be rather cold this year (but clear I must emphasize).

Bring him with you, it is a great father/son weekend.

On second thoughts, if you dont come, it evens up the field for the planetary photography section

Oh nooooo......

Mike this can't happen, you have to do something about this.
It won't be the same without you.

Cheers guys I wish I could change it, or take my Dad with me, but it's not gonna happen.

My brother is coming out from Thailand for the occasion as well, and I'm really look forward to catching up with him.

I'll have to get my fix some other way
