NGC 2264 A month late

NGC2264 Christmas tree cluster and Cone nebula. Well the tree has fallen over by now.

A faint nebula captured with QHY8Pro and Tak FSQ106ED. 4 x 15 minute exposures but not nearly enough. A lot of processing artifacts are present in this image so not my best but my last chance for a couple of weeks again due to work commitments.
Image was originally processed in PS CS3 and this time tweaked using Topaz Adjust as a trial. Not 100% sure about Topaz at this stage but worth the trial.

Nice detail and colour in the nebula Doug. The sky is a tad green.

Hi Doug,

This one is really faint, I'm trying for the Cone using the ST10 and RC8 combo, I have an hours Ha ATM, which is not nearly enough. Might have to blend in some luminance, but the bright stars will bloom badly.

Nice to see that someone else is a month or so late...

Look forward to seeing the finished product.

Cheers
Stuart

Nice shot Doug.
Looks quite "harsh" colour wise to me, the reds are real red, and the background could be a tad green as has been suggested.
But, as has also been pointed out, it IS dim, so all over a great shot.

Got some real nice colors in there. It's a very faint one and you're gonna need way more data to smooth things out but you already got heaps of details in the neb and the framing is tops.

Thanks for the comments. I am still trying to capture a bit more exposure time but work keeps getting in the way.
If you blokes would all shut down your computers we wouldn't need as much electricity so less generation = less running time = less breakdowns and market sales = less work for me.
I think I could handle semi retirement at least.
