My last AR 1040 image - 17 January 2010

Hello

I wanted to capture some last AVI's of AR 1040 before it disappears around the western limb. It has been here before as AR 1035 and I hope it returns again in a couple of weeks?!

I have taken 5 images of this group (2 as AR 1035 and 3 as AR1040). If you wish to review this area please visit my site as listed in my signature.

Usual set up for todays image - SM40, Powermate, DKK32 and processed in Registax5.

Thanks for looking.

Looking good Matt,

This feature has attracted a fair bit of attention already but this gives a different prospective as it starts to go around the corner. I think the negative version also provides something different.

Regards
Trevor

Nice work once more Matt – glad to se that you managed to get out despite the forecast for a possible storm later in the day. This one must seem like an old friend to you!

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Troy and Trevor this region has been a good one to watch over the past few weeks.
Hey Dennis, I did not know we were expecting rain! I was up a 5am (Flinders is an early riser and I am on Sunday duty) and it was clearing well.
Next big solar event we should catch up and have a day scoping!
