Question Links for rental scopes

I was asked today for some links for rental scope sites. Rather than go searching I'd thought I'd do the clever thing and ask here.

Any links for online rental scopes would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

There was an article in November "Sky at Night". There may be typos:

Bradford Robotic Telescope - http://telescope.org
MyTelescope - http://www.mytelescope.com
Skylive - http://skylive.it
SLOOH - http://www.slooh.com
Global Rent-a-Scope - http://global-rent-a-scope.com
Lightbuckets - http://www.lightbuckets.com

Well, if you lived in near me, you could just knock on my door and walk out the back .

Thanks for that Andrew. That just the sort of thing I was looking for.

If I'm ever down that way Theo I might just take you up on that.

The links are for an article in a local magazine that is doing a story on our local Mapleton State Primary School and Community Observatory. The reporter wasn't aware that there were scopes out there for rent online.

Are these places where the scopes are remote, you pay some money and get remote access/control of them? Or are they actual scopes you can take home and use at your own leisure?

You use them remotely. I don't think Lightbuckets will let you take their 24" RCOS home to use...lol

Lol, yeah, I'd heard and knew a little about the Lightbuckets one. I meant are there scope rentals where you can take them home, obviously smaller stuff that's a little more portable.

I know some clubs etc have loaners. Just wondering if a rental place might have more options. I'm not really looking for myself, just throwing it out there for others that might have asked the original question.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'm onto it. Troy; the links were for online astrophotography rather than renting telescopes, but thanks for your input. It was an area I hadn't thought about and have passed the info along.
