Moon with New Year Hangover

I processed this picture during one of my dark periods .... on New Years Day ... feeling particularly seedy after way too much deliciously fine wine.

Single 450D frame captured 30/12/2009 at ISO800 and 1/4000sec.
Saturation, colour balance and contrast then mutilated using Photosphop CS4.

"mutilated using Photosphop CS4." I take slight offence to that Jeff. You IMHO have not "mutilated" anything. You have just showed a different perspective. Adds a twist to the stock standard shot, that I have seen a million times before.

This image would like tops photoshopped, into one of the dark lakeside / pine tree shots.

Nice work, keep 'em coming.

Thanks Mitchell.

Yes, nice for a change.

I guess the Moon would look much different in our night skies if it were sprinkled with iron oxide dust like Mars instead of basalt and other grey rocks.
