Seems a bit excessive for 100km/hr. The article also says he did up to 137km/hr on country roads. Only 137 km/hr in a Ferrari??!!. What a waste!

Yeah, but Geoff, remember country roads in those parts are only about 3 metres wide at best

Nah... they creamed him coz he can pay. That's all there is to it. The country roads in Switzerland look like the hume highway here unless you go high in the mountains and everybody's doing 140kph average on them. He wasn't really speeding. Just got caught in a red shinny car.

Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear doesn't like Switzerland either.

He reckons that if you have a sports car you are an instant target for revenue raising.

I believe it is the law in some European countries - fines are proportional to wealth/income.

Taxes are. It's called "Impot sur les grandes fortunes". Just based on Wealth. Don't have to work.

Only the STIG can "get away" with it.

Isn't it daft that we make these car's that can do over 200kph but don't supply the roads for people to use them on

Whats the point ????

I would have made him watch a 40 tonne truck run over his "little man" extension, preferrably while he was still inside his toy. What price the lives he risks extinguishing in his quest for an ego?

A millionaire motorist clocked up a record fine of 299,000 Swiss francs ($290,000) after Swiss police caught him racing through a village at 100 km per hour in his red Ferrari Testarossa
And Jeremy Clarkson thinks Testarossa's are rubbish too.
