Pictures from my holiday to Victoria

Hi guys.

I've uploaded all the pictures from my holiday to Victoria, and you can find them here in my gallery.

I'm doing a writeup of the holiday but probably won't get time to finish it until Monday. So you can look at the pictures in isolation until then

Appreciate any comments if you think any of the pictures are really good

Don't tell me if you think they're bad though

Thanks for the kind words.

You're right about that h0ughy, I wish I had a polarising/ND filter because most of my apostles shots are burnt out in the top left corner because the sun was setting.

I'm going to the blue mountains over xmas, so i'll hopefully get some nice shots there of the 3 sisters, wentworth falls etc. with the new camera.

Wow Robin, that looks fantastic.. that shows the difference between a pro and a wannabe like me

How much digital manipulation did you do for the sky?

Here's mine, for comparison.

I'm not suggesting otherwise, but digital manipulation is quite common, even amongst the pros

He He! The pic was shot on my Nikon D100 with a 20mm f2.8 wideangle lens which on the digital camera gives you about 28mm or something like that.I de-saturated the blue channel in photoshop, left the cyan saturated which gives the sky an almost black & white look to it & burnt in the sky.It was a real windy day with intermittent showers.A rule of thumb i use isthis...if its windy & cloudy, make it look really windy & cloudy. If its sunny & perfect then bring out those blues!
The pic was shot on 'program' mode which basically does everything for you.
