Interesting cloud movement tonight

Tonight there were some interesting cloud movements looking west towards the sunset. The top layer of cloud was heading generally S-SE while a layer underneath was heading N.

I have not seen this before, is it common?

That would need to be NE to get from here to Newcastle

It'll probably do a U-turn overnight and come back tomorrow.

The only interesting cloud movement would be ones that produced moderate rain from 8am to 4pm and clear skies from 6pm to 6am.

If your going to be specific then I would prefer clouds/rain between the hours of 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm. I prefer dry conditions going to and from work, and lunch time.

They were very nice colours. I did a quick video and sped it up x8 so you can see the movement better.

Also from a slightly different angle one frame showing the colour.
