Horse head again

Gday,

after so much messing with DSS, nebulosity, darks, flats, bias offsets etc I went back to stacking the good old JPG's no subtraction of any sort.

Image has a few bright pixels etc but it has come out so much better than I have ever done with the .CR2 files

image is 10 JPG's of 10 mins each.

Grahame.

That is really very nice Grahame. Very smooth and pinpoint stars. Top work.

I like it too.....

But keep playing with your darks, flats, bias frames and all the rest!
I think looking at the quality of your jpeg image, you'll be blown away when the calibration comes together!

Keep it up.

Thanks Marc and Darren, I certainly plan to keep trying with the .cr2 path. Its just a matter of finding the right flow of data from .cr2 into final image.
