Slightly abstract macro

Hi all!

I have shot / posted some dandelion images before. I was happy with the way this shot turned out. I was hoping to capture the seed pod a little differently than the other 20,000 shots on the net.

In regards to the composition / DOF selection, I was looking to show the seeds connecting to the stem and also to include the white tips yet have them OOF enough to add a certain obscured look to the interior.

No PP, just straight out of the camera. I checked curves etc, but any adjustments only caused slight faults.

Some of the interior structures, still have me puzzled as to how the shapes were created.
In all I thought it was one of the more interesting shots I have taken of late, if only in an abstract sense, so I thought I would share it.

Thanks for looking!
