Solar Active Regions AR11034 & AR11035

With the Sun only 11deg up from this part of the world it makes hires imaging difficult to say the least. Of course the Sun picks now to wake up.

AR11034 & AR11035 in Halpha and white light. And a huge hedge row prominence on the NE of the disc.

yep thats it alright. This is also visible in non h-alpha scopes with a proper filter (eg baader solar film) of course. Since the Sun has been so quiet over the last couple of years its good to compare these "new" spots in Halpha and ordinary "white light".

I like the way you put the Earth in your pictures.
Makes me stop and think about the size of the things we see

Always enjoy your work Dave, love the Proms and your presentation.

Do you know Dave Tyler, he also does a lot of Solar work over your way?

Well done, as usual.
Regards
Trevor

Thanx Folks

Yes Trevor just made contat with DT recently - a brilliant planetary imager too.

I think the Earth really puts those ARs into perspective.
