Just had to take some sunsets through smoke from a local fire. I am loving taking photo's you guys have hooked me on photography now I need a decent camera. These were taken with a 5.1MP FinePix
If anyone could do some processing on this as I have no experience in this and this is just right out of the camera so I can see how much difference it can make
Warren, your shots are great without processing. Some times in this game, something can be said for an un-processed image.
Number two is a keeper in my books and deserves to be framed on your wall.
I just had a quick play with curves, sharpening and contrast. There was no great improvement to be had. You do seem to have a bit of noise? Perhaps a lower ISO if you can or run them through a freeware program like Noiseware community edition...
On another note, DOWNLOAD GIMP NOW!! Will be total confusion to get started. It took me 3 months of part time use, now I am all over it. It is free and will become essential for future shots... Or buy Photoshop if you have the money. I prefer Gimp though, for it's very open source plug-ins.

Thanks for your encouragement it means a lot, as for GIMP I have tried it before and have given up in despair I will have to give it another go. And I don't have any idea at all about plugins I knew about them but didn't know how or what to do with them I am a complete newbie when it comes to photography.
Warren one recommendation I'd make is that you resize the images so they display nicely for the web and will minimise the artifacts when downsizing for the web..
Around 1024px is a good all-round size.
