Golden Grove - IC447

Finally Perth's sky cleared up so I headed out to AGWA's Golden grove.
It was good to see other AGWA members there.

Took a bit of a gamble and decided to image something I could not even see a hint of in my subs but absence of stars in some sections indicated there was something there, so fired off the subs til the sun came up.

Here's IC 447 relection nebula. 60 x 4mins, iso800, canon 350d. Luckily the gamble paid off I think.

Any comments welcome as usual thanks

Very nice david. You're giving Tom Davis a run for his money. Top shot!

Very very nice indeed David! The use of 60 subs has definitely shown itself here, the image is silky smooth! Great star colours, and well done shooting at something you can't even see! I've tried that before... it didn't go so well

Thanks guys!

I think I will stick to similar number of subs and hours from now on... or may be upgrade the camera.

That's a very impressive image, I think you are close to the limit of what can be achieved with a DSLR!

Missed this one to start with David, but glad that I had a peek....
Absolutely beautiful! Love those star colors and dust! Must put this area down as a must!
