LXD55 Problem

I have an LXD55 (Meade) That has less than good tracking habits.
Typically it seems to jerk or dance like this

Blurring a lot of otherwise reasonable frames.
I can hear the motors working in sync with the dance, so something is telling the controller to send the corrections in both axes??
Anyone have any ideas??

I gotta be honest with you, I would stop before you start with this mount! Shelve any astro photography plans you have for a while and buy an EQ6 Pro. I struggled with mine for years, this problem, that problem, then another, it got very frustrating! With the EQ6, all I have done is take it out the box, and use it. Sorry I'm not being more helpful, but that's the bottom line with an LXD55 mount!!:shrug :

I tend to agree with you But due to current financial constraints,
I'm stuck with it for a while
I don't totally hate the mount, it' just that I think I could get more good frames to work with per avi without this quirk
This is an example of the 2nd to last session (last one was even better) with my 8" f6 Newt with 2x Barlow. Toucam 840 pro

I know I have a long way to go, but I have also improved since I started about a year ago. Along the way I run into problems that I am convinced are compromising the end result, and they drive me nuts till I can sort them out
Thanks for your sound advice. I will be following it as the EQ6 pro seems perfect for me (later though)
