Striated Pardalotte with Cicada

I took these pics right on lunch time, the sun was directly over head,

it was ashame the sunlight was'nt shining on an angle a bit more,as

that may have shown head a little better, its hard to get pics of a small

bird with prey,in this case a female cicada. These birds have a nest in

the ground, and i regularly see them near the house,

regards Chris

Great shots mate!! Love the colours. Pity 'bout the shadow.

Edit~ Sorry, I'm bored and wanted to see his face. Any more dodging leads to distortion.
Sorry again, as my monitor is not calibrated and this will probably upload an abomination...

And yes it is, my bad, That halo ruined it. Sorry...

Nice shots Chris, they are a nice little bird, we have a couple nesting nearby in one of our trees. Your focus looks to be a little off, looks like the AF focussed on the wire rather than the Pardy's head, stopping down a tad would help that.

Nice shots. Looks like that fence is a popular hang out for birds
