Getting down on eye level with this fellow on the pavers in the middle of a birthday party made me feel weird, but hey, what a pretty little jewel!

Nice - got potential... - what arrangement did you use for this? Just 18-55 reversed on the body? I reckon it needs more depth of field. You won't be able to do it automatically with a reversed lens, but you might be able to trick the lens. Put the lens on your camera as per normal shooting and set the aperture to f/11 or so. Then, remember that "depth of field preview" button I showed you, the one that closes the lens aperture down? Hold that down so the aperture is closed and remove the lens while you're holding the DoF preview button down. The aperture should stay closed down. Try that with the reversed lens and see if that helps give a bit more DoF.

Yup, needs more DOF, but there's camera shake as well. You're definitely getting into the spirit of things, which is awesome.

Thanks guys. Another good trick Troy, I just tried it and it does work. I will try it outside on some bugs tonight and see how it goes.
