Brown Flycatcher (small bird)

These lovely little birds are also called Jacky Winter,Peter Peter,or

Stump Birds,The sit on the fences a lot of the time waiting for insects

to fly up from the grass,I have seen them follow the heards of cattle,

as the cattle walk, they disturb the insects, making hunting easier for

these little birds.

Here, the sun was good for the first two pics,as i was moving away the

bird caught a wasp,i was just quick enough to fire up camera again to

get last two pics, all up i thought i was a nice little series of this

delightfull creature.

I used L 400 lens,hand held,speeds 1250 and 1600

regards Chris

re Jacky Winter

Thanks for your comment, glad someone noticed it was a young Jacky Winter. The area where i saw it,they are very common there,i did think
it may have been other species you mentioned.I don't see that species
quite as often.

regards Chris
