Relay for Life 2009

Hi peoples,

I have left this a tad late but once again i am going around again for the 2009 Relay for life (Newcastle Lake Macquarie). I have been supported in the past by some great and generous people, with everything that has been going on I have forgotten to put this up. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductable, if you can help out it would be good. i will be there this Saturday from 2pm sat - 10am sunday

You know its kind of sad when i look back over the years since my dad and my wife’s father passed away with cancer, to how many others it has affected or taken from our lives. My dads been gone since 1999 and he ended up being the first test with the Newcastle melanoma clinic - even though he was crook , he continually gave blood to keep alive the melanoma they cut our of him while they created antibodies from it for 6 years - to trial injecting those back into him to see if it would help to stem the growth throughout his body. I really hope that they find a cure and that what dad gave was not in vain, but that only comes down to support, a touch of faith and hope. We all only get one chance; I am trying to make a difference. The money, while not going directly to cancer research funding goes to support services that includes counselling and phone support. I know its not a waste. If you could help support it that would be good – or go to a local relay for life in your area.
