inside Clavius

Hi all, on the 28th October I captured a number of avis of the Moon with 14" LX200, DMK using just the red filter, and 2.5x barlow.

Clavius with its diameter of 225kms is too large to fit into the FOV, but this image shows many of the internal features, craters and rilles.

Hi Lester

That is a wonderfully detailed image with so much to look at despite it being a tight crop of this fascinating area. I think that this is the first time I have seen that sinuous rille running from Rutherford D to Porter – a superb capture!

Cheers

Dennis
