Juno

I noticed Juno appeared on my Iphone Sky Voyager last night. I haven't tried to find it yet - is it an easy target? mag 8.4 suggests it might be a little tricky. Anyone have any recent photo's of it?

I have never seen it before, yet been watching the skies for years - shows how you can find something new everytime you look.

I suggest you look at http://homepage.mac.com/andjames/PageJuno000.htm . Looking at the ephemeris, it seems Juno was at its brightest about two or three weeks ago at 7.7 magnitude, and the brightness is now fading fast. It will not be this bright again until 1st February 2015. Pity.

Observers might not want to mess around looking for it.
