Shot of lightning from a storm in Canberra last night. Its been cloudy here for so long with no chance of viewing the heavens at least storms provide a bit of fun.
Taken from under the front porch in the poring rain. Canon 350D, 18mm focal length, 1600 ISO, f 22 for 5 seconds hoping to catch lightning bolt by chance.

I didn't have any choice about the field of view, this was the only dry spot with any view of the storm. Lucky it turned out as good as it did.
A while back I tried to capture some lightning so I set my camera up and set it to take an image evey couple of seconds. I didnt get one lol I got lots of afterglow bo bolts, lol, couldnt believe it.
