Mars November 1st, 2009 11:05 UT

This result is a bit better than my image from the 31st that I posted. The NPC is really showing up nicely now. Dust activity has been close to zero, based on what I can see and also the latest THEMIS data. Mars will be a little less than twice the diameter you see in this image at its closest approach in January. But, not much different than yeserdays image, just a bit better quality in my opinion. Its resized 2x btw, and I used a 3x barlow, not 2x as listed on the image.

Thanks Mike. That means a lot coming from you. Since the US is going to have Mars in a favorable position this year, you should head to the states. We're friendly here in Texas, my mi casa es su casa and mi scope es su scope. Hope I said that right. This dang cold weather though. It was 30 degrees when I imaged this morning. Come January, I might have to be out when its in the single digits. Not quite sure how the equipment will perform with it being that cold.
