"Avatar" - interesting James Cameron movie coming up in December

Looks like a good 2 hour departure from reality. I can't imagine James Cameron delivering a dud.

Scifi/fantasy... interesting graphics to say the least.

Having made Terminator and Terminator 2, Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies and Titanic, one would have great expectations for Avatar with an estimated budget of 200 million dollars plus. I believe it is composed almost entirely of computer-generated graphics. The animation shorts I've seen look amazing. Let's hope the story-line matches.

Regards, Rob.

Yeah its a movie that i am looking forward to, first one in quite a while. But not so much that i am reading into the overhype that it might get.

I'm pretty sure that you'll find that every movie produced in this time will be "over hyped". There's just too much at stake in having to recover production budgets the size of a small nation's GDP.

Looks really good - is it based on comic books or video games?
Looks familiar for some reason.

It looks like it could be good. From the shorts I have seen it looks like Pocahontas in space .

Video Games. By the same name. Avatar, the video game. Very beautiful colours and scenery, awesome computer generated graphics and freestyle game play. I've had a go at the demo, just trying to finish some of my other games first. Long live Assassins!
Oooops! Ahem!

I was a bit dubious at first of the heavy handed CGI, thinking it was going to be too much, but after watching this full trailer for the first time, I may be pleasantly surprised.

I don't go to many movies. But this one does look promising.
