Orion and Tarantula

Got the autoguiding going after problems the previous night. First night of imaging in three months due to bad weather. Shot Orion and Tarantula Nebs.

Orion 10x3min subs, 3x30s subs
C8 SCT f/6.3
ISO 800
Canon 40D

Sorry about the saturated stars. I like the wispyness of the neb though.

Tarantula 20x3min subs
C8 SCT f/6.3
ISO 800
Canon 40D

Can't get enough exposure from where I am.

Had a go at the Sculptor Galaxy also, but can't get enough exposure.

Just like posting something.

good work your tracking seems to be pretty close to the money, now all you have to do is open the 40d up for 10-30 min subs and you wont know whats hit you!

A couple of nice images but they could probably do with the continual more exposure. I don't know when enough is enough, it is always a processing afterthought.

Nice cor in Orion. well done.
