Televue setup

TV102 with Gibraltar mount, Televue finder shoe (the finder was lost when I moved house) and a set of Televue Plossls (55mm, 32mm, 20mm, 11mm) with 5x Powermate - $2800. I have a saxon laser pointer that fits the shoe - I'll throw that into the mix as well if anyone is interested.

Recently, I bought a house and can no longer leave my telescope set up (the new house is much smaller and my wife called shotgun on every square inch of storage space), so the grab and go nature of this scope is sort of compromised. I was thinking if I am going to only use the scope once a week (I am too lazy to set the tripod up, attach the scope etc after work), I may as well get an 8" LX90 or CPC or something and see a bit deeper.

As far as the eyepieces, to my eyes, these are just wonderful eyepieces to match this setup. I started with Ethos (17,10 & 6), moved to Naglers, onto Panoptics and arrived at humble old plossls. Wish I had have known this in the first place, but meh - all part of the fun...

I should mention too - no splitting unless I get a reasonable offer (~$2300-$2400) for the scope and mount first.

I'm just floating this idea out there - if no one is interested, I am happy enough to just hang on to it. I'll probably end up regretting this if it does sell anyway.

Please PM with offers, comments or general abuse...

I may have been a bit unclear - the following is included:
  • TV102 OTA with hard case
  • 2" Televue Everbright diagonal
  • Gibraltar mount and head
  • Saxon laser pointer with bracket to attach to tube ring
  • 55mm Televue plossl (note, this needs to be pulled out 10mm or so to come to focus)
  • 32mm Televue plossl
  • 20mm Televue plossl
  • 11mm Televue plossl
  • 1.25" 5x Televue powermate
These eyepieces in conjunction with the powermate give a range from 16x with a 3 degree TFOV down to 220x (Nothing meaningful is seen at the eyepiece using the 11 with the powermate).
