Quick Tarantula

While viewing Jupiter Last Night, I decided to have a quick go at the Tarantula Neb. This is my first try at it. Couldn't get the auto guiding going, so I shot 30 subs at 30s unguided.

C8 SCT f/6.3
Canon 40D IDAS LPS Filter
ISO 800

Processed in DSS and Corel PP.

The image is still quite noisy from the LP in Melbourne. I plan on having another crack tonight with the autoguiding.

Shows some promise Rob. Once you nail guiding, you'll be punching out significantly improved images - that's for sure. Keep at it!
