Talking I wanna say a big thank you to the Snake Valley Campers

Gday everyone i just wanna say a big thank you to the Snake Valley Campers. Now that i have caught up on some much needed sleep i think i had a total of 9 hours sleep the whole time i was there
Even though i was the only girl there i must say i had the best time
All you guys were so helpful and a very lovely bunch of fellas too i must say
Ken thanks for organising the event (mow those lawns next time) hehe I will be back

Unfortunatley the skies wernt so kind to us Friday we got about an hour of viewing in then it was drink time hey Doug
I left my scope in the car on Friday

Saturday night we had an awsome feed and a bit of entertainment (thanks Ken) we got about 2 hours of viewing in and
omg i didnt even take the tarp of my scope i was like a kid in a candy store i was scope hopping all over the place checking out the views in all sorts of scopes (awsome)

Sunday Erick fixed my binos And Dave and Geoff collimated my scope woop woop then it was lesson time for Jen
Hey guys guess what?
I no longer jen handle my scope
(thanks Dave your a sweety)
I got to see Jupiter through my scope like i have never seen before its amazing what things look like through a collimated scope I borrowed a different eyepiece from Danielsun to see 47 Tuc in my scope very nice i want one of those eyepieces now
Then i went for a play with a 15inch SDM i never went back to my scope for the rest of the evening
SIZE DOES MATTER
I have never seen so many nebulas and galaxies in one hour of clear skies

Unfortunately i had to go home Monday and i missed out on the best night of clear skies grrrrrrrr

But i got my scope out when i got home and was out till about 2am and i didnt Jen handle it once woohooooooooooooooooooooooo

Thanks again guys see you all again soon
Cant wait for some pics to come in
It will take (hop-a-long) Leon a month to process all the picks he took if he hasnt destroyed the lenses of all the pics he took of me Leon no more tripping over those tent cords wake up

I miss all you guys already
Book me in for next year

LOL! Jeez Jen - you think you had fun?

I trust that apart from being astronomer-types, they were all gentlemen.

Sounds like Snake Valley was just what Jen needed!
You're first Star Party is a mind blowing event. Come to think of it, all of them are. Spending all that time in the very best of company, and using their scopes. Bet you didn't want to go home.

Good on ya Jen. See aligning and using a scope properly is not that hard after all . The only challenge now is to stay out of the astro goodies bin at your local shop . Large aperture scopes are very addictive.
