Celestron CG-5 Mount and Accessories (Price reduced!)
I’ve upgraded to an EQ6, so this has got to go.
Celestron Advanced Series Goto Mount and tripod – CG-5. Purchased new in 2005 as a C8 –SGT kit but I’m keeping the C8. Tripod has some superficial marks from transport and handling. Power cable has been modified to replace a damaged 12V plug, reduce voltage drop (heavier cable) and add a connector to allow it to fit through the conduit in the floor of my observatory. Hand controller is not the new flash upgradable one. Includes original short dovetail plate for use with a scope with tube rings. I will include the original manual for C8-SGT. $800. (Currently $1500 new).
Celestron CN-16 GPS Accessory (#93966) including the expansion port for use with a CG-5. $400. (Currently $700 - $1000 new!)
Extra counterweight for CG-5. $50. (Currently ~$90 new)
Celestron tripod anti-vibration Pads. $50.
Celestron RS-232 Cable (#93920). This connects computer to hand controller for computer control of the mount via ASCOM and software of your choice. $20.
I would prefer to sell the lot for $1200.
Mount and counterweight are offered for pick-up only from Oberon NSW. I will consider driving up to 2 hours to meet and exchange, or can arrange hand over at IISAC’09.
