another NZ panorama

I really like this one, although not happy with the ways the colours are turning out. Not sure what I've done, but it just isn't looking "real". I think it might be worth spending some more time with it.

Taken on the road around Wanaka on the way to Queenstown, but can't remember the name of the valley. 13 shots stitched.

The full sized one is a 4.2MB 10500px wide monster. But if you're interested, it's got some serious detail.

Great shot! What lens were you using? Sorry not sure of the name of that valley either.. Beautiful area of the country.

Thanks guys. Pretty sure I was using the 17-55 for these. I did give the 10-22 a bit of a workout too, but mostly for the single shot landscapes. It's too wide for panos.

Ah yes. I think I remember exactly the same spot. You drive up a fair amount of windy road until you reach a sort of large car park close to the top of the pass from which that scene unfolds before you?

Great shot.

Crown Ridge Road, if I'm not mistaken.

What an awesome drive that is.

I've got video footage of me descending all the way down to Queenstown from the top of the peak where the car park is.

You can clearly see the formation of the valley as you drive down. That road is a marvel of engineering when you think about it.

Well done on the panorama. No visible seams.

Regards,
Humayun

Thanks again, guys. I'm using Hugin for pano stitching - free and it does an excellent job. Even takes care of differing exposures and white balance between frames.

@Matt - that's the one

@Humayun - just looked it up. Crown Range Road. Good memory - better than mine

Ridge, Range. Both taste like pineapple.

As soon as I posted the message, I knew it didn't sound right.
