Yet another 31 from Duckadang

Here's another from the abyss. I've avoided it as there were some really nasty red edges to the stars. Not sure why, could be the smokey skies that night.

Canon 20D & 135mm @ f/2.5, ISO800, 14X180 sec shots. ICNR

Longer subs next time. Don't know why I only went for 180 Sec

Its not the full field, there was a nasty gradient in there (I think I was shooting over h0ughy at the time. Oh not light pollution....venting steam. ) so rather than muck around with dealing with it over the whole frame I took the axe to it.

It looks far over processed and noisier here than on the full image.

A great image considering that the object stays low to horizon in Aust maybe a tad too much magenta but Id be proud if it were my image.

An impossible shot from my site (

Very nice Paul, I wish it was imagable from down here but alas, no.

Doesn't look to bad at all. May even be some JPG artifacts from the compression.

Paul,

Great image, mate. I can make out the blue in the arms quite easily.

You need to head up to Broome, Rob. Not so low down from there

Nice shot, Paul
