NGC 6744 (finally a new image).
This has been a bogey object for me.
I have never been quite able to get the imaging right on previous attempts.
The spiral arms extend much further out than I expected.
4.5 hrs L, 1 hr R, 1 hr G, 1 hr B, BRC-250 ST-X10ME.

Well, you sure got it right this time Steven!! A lovely image!  . Wish you'd make the sky blacker though (not blue).

Very, very nice Steven. It sure is one of the most beautiful galaxies from both northern and southern skies.

Very true Greg. Unfortunately the Southern Hemisphere lacks the variety of medium sized galaxies compared to the North. Galaxies are my favorite targets, wish I could move north.

Dave,
It took about a month. When imaging galaxies I usually throw out 50% of my luminance images due to poor seeing.

It needs more exposure to bring out the extensive arms on either side of the galaxy.

Stunning rendition of this favourite target Steven. Pleasing colours and details. The background hue tweaks have certainly emphasised the fainter structure. Well done.

So out of your RGB, how long were the individual subs?
Fantastic image! With some deep moving music playing in the background I just dived into this...took me a few moments of drifting out of reality to come back.

I'm using a 250mm Baker-Ritchey-Chretien at 1268mm FL.

All my subs (LRGB) are 10 minutes.
