Having recently sold my QHY8 I thought I would be able to use some of my wide field gear with the new camera as well. Wrong!!!
I am having to move to medium format lenses to get the required back focus, so the following is for sale. All is near new and in exceptional condition.
Leica R 180/4 with front and rear caps. Lens is made in Germany and is in wonderful condition, apart from one very slight indentation to the sliding lens hood. This is purely cosmetic only. Find a sharper lens than this if you can.
$650.
Marry the above lens with the R - EOS adaptor ring. Solid metal, and precise. $30. Or a Contax - EOS adaptor ring. $30.
Of course you then need the EOS - QHY8 adaptor. This allows EOS lenses to mount onto the QHY8 camera, and is made completely of metal. It has the ability to screw a 2" filter within the adaptor, allowing the likes of Ha imaging with the camera lens. $75.
Um, it goes without saying that the Leica lens above will fit onto any Canon EOS body via the R - EOS adaptor ring, so in effect this advert isn't just directed at QHY8 owners. Ditto with the Contax to EOS ring, the Zeiss/Contax lenses are stunning as well.
