Here is an image from a couple of nights ago in average seeing, I was hoping for better but there was just too much storm activity around. Although it's diminished a lot you can still see the remnants of the impact debris as a string of dark spots just above the white polar storm at the cm.
A most respectable image, still with heaps to see, lovely processing job.
Your impact remnant is diluting so much that it is only well defined now in good seeing.
With the amount of dust currently in the atmosphere over much of the continent, it is going to be some time before the next descent opportunity presents itself.
That is another beautiful image of our local giant and thanks for pointing out the remnants of the Wesley Impact Scar. It has been quite exciting times, tracing the development and decay of this monster strike through your wonderful images.
Thanks guys, despite the images I'd say this year has had the worst seeing overall of the last 3 years. I guess improvements in equipment and technique are making most of the difference.
