Better being weird and individual than a boring, predictable sod. It's OK by my books, mate

Hi Mike
I think the whole point here is that --- you are wierd! and lets face it we wouldn't have it any other way, I mean anybody who goes around carrying a huge statues testicle on his right shoulder cannot be deemed as normal in the true sense of the word. Keep taking great pictures and please for the sake of keeping this world an interesting place stay wierd. As everybody says it is better to be wierd than be a boring old f**t
Best wishes
Gordon

Mike, it would be a very dull astro-community indeed without colourful characters like yourself!

That looks like one of the Galilean moons on your shoulder Mike – a top lift indeed! I’ve watched a few of the “World’s Strongest Man” TV shows and I have nothing but admiration for the dedication, discipline and sheer guts it takes to compete at this level, especially since you were one of those rare clean lifters!

Weird – yes, but a loveable character too!

Cheers

Dennis

Onya, Mike.

For some reason the individual scene from Life of Brian springs to mind...

Brian: "You're all individuals!"

Crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Mike: "I'm not"

I'd be highly offended if anyone called me normal, average, run of the mill or ordinary.
How boring would that make me?

You're our kind of person Mike.

It's all about how you read the "Magic Quadrant", in IT, Gartner use these to predict the leaders and losers. The fact that you are on the HOT/WIERD quadrant just means you are at the cuting edge of our society, a true leader. What was weird 30 years ago is mainstream now.

Congratulations Mike

We all know that there is no such thing as bad publicity. How many of our past great scientists and leaders were refered to as wierd. I think just about all of them at some time.

Keep up the good work!

Barry

PS I still have that poster you gave me.

OO! I see I have just past the 500 post mark. I definitely talk too much!
