I was never a fan...but he struck me as a nice enough sort of guy. Always had a smile and a good energy about him.

RIP

R.I.P Patto, without you we would never have that classic quote from Dirty Dancing.....

No that is not true Trever, I am in the industry of Funerals and Burying People, and we have very many old people, and so it should be.

You know, Nana's and Pa's. Grandad's and Grandma's, what ever the kids call them, in their 80 - 90, and then some.

And that is the way it should be.

However if a young person dies before their parents get old, then it is extremely sad.

Dirty Dancing was always a favourite in our household.
He was very charismatic and courageous in his battle with cancer.

In memory, Rob

It was always said Patrick was always a Hollywood-made actor that seemed to shun the Hollywood glitz and try to live privately on his ranch amongst with his family. A rare breed.

Fantastic in North and South, and Point Break, and melted the every female heart in Dirty Dancing and Ghost - they were the movies to take your girlfriend out to (never got around to taking up the pottery wheel).

From what I've read, his first love was the theatre, which here returned to later in life.

RIP

It's an insidious, cruel disease. Poor fella having to go through that.
Wasn't a fan though I liked him in Ghost.

I know, my father died of the same disease. It's one of the worse cancers you can get. Very painful as well.

One of my wife's favourite Swayze fillums is RoadHouse...just
because it is so bad. We can both recite the dialogue of the
whole movie...sad eh but that shows just how many times I
have had to sit through it.

My favourite Swayze movie: Point Break

RIP Patrick

But he's not having to suffer any more, and that's a good thing.
