Keeping notes?

Just reading through the Deep Sky Observers Companion posted earlier by glenc. I have in the last week just started to keep very basic notes on my observing in a diary. Pretty much just a list of objects and the constellation with a few words here and there for descriptions.

Was curious as to what people here recorded, if anything.

I've gotten a bit lazy in this regard but started off strong. I like including which ep (+magnification) the object was best in and what extra detail can be seen with averted vision.
