Happy Bintel Customer

Just ordered some Meade accessories from Bintel that I have been thinking about for a couple of weeks. Three items had reduced in price by $20-30 each!!! I rang Bintel to add something else to the order and remarked about the prices - Michael said they had revised some prices to reflect the improving exchange rates! Very much appreciated by this customer - glad I didn't order them last week though!

General Disclaimer - I have no association with Bintel other than giving them large amounts of money during the last year in exchange for new Astrogear!

David - must be our day, cos I just rang them as well (and spoke with Mike). He advised me that the Meade 9mm and 12mm reticles were dreadful, and to go with the Orion 12mm, so I did. Bonus - down to $99 (from $129)! $10 for postage, should go out today, I should get it tomorrow or Friday morn! Awesome. I'll finally be able to really start drift aligning to help improve polar alignment. Go me.

Dave

As I deal with suppliers on a day-to-day basis for a living, it is always a pleasure to deal with suppliers who know their stuff and look after their customer.

I know it is a big part of my decision-making process in choosing a supplier when I consider price/quality/service.

I have never had a bad thing to say about Bintel in my dealings with them.

Michael advises well and has a pleasant, personalised manner that makes the customer feel well cared for. Don and Lily are very good too. (Have I left anyone out?)

I don't know how many times I have walked into Harvey Norman and the like, looking at camera's and the sales guys have absolutely no knowledge of the product they are selling, save for the catalogue that comes with it.

Bintel has knowledge and experience of the product and it's use and that makes all the difference.

Baz.

I usually just ignore the salespeople at places like these...just say to them "I'm just looking, thanks"...a little smile and they usually walk away.

When you get actual experts helping you out, it's a pleasure to shop at those places, like Bintel.

I have always found Bintel great. The other week I rang and spoke to Mike about an item. It wasn't in stock and he promised to let me know when they arrived. Sure enough, got the phone call and am now a happy owner!
Excellent service! Though I will point out that has been my experience with ll the specialist astro retailers I have dealth with.

The same occured to me. I had an LX90 on order and the price dropped by $200-odd dollars before I took delivery of the telescope. The immediately altered the final price for me. Can't complain about that

Try to get any other retailer, astronomy or otherwise, to do that for the customer.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I had ordered a collection of eyepieces and when I got the CC message from my bank the amount was less than what the order had said so I checked the website and the prices had been reduce.

Pretty happy with that kind of service.
