How can I download satellite data for The Sky 6

Any guidance for this issue would be appreciated.

I've registered with Space-track but when I use The Sky 6 to download satellite data I get an error message (see 2nd image)

Procedure:
Data>satellites>Import from web>username>password> Iridium flares or special interest satellites (any really)>Ok>receiving response (1st image)>error message

Any suggestions?

That is a Windows security error. Google for "windows error 80070005" and pick the answer that suits your version and whether you are logged on as administrator or not. It can be a config error on the web site, but I would not expect you to get the error - more likely you'd get an http error like 403 .

I thought it might have been a windoze error. I thought maybe I didn't have a setting in sky6 set right.

I'll do a google and see what i come up with.

Hi Paul

I just tried my installation of The Sky 6 Pro and it appeared to work okay? Did you get as far as the attached screen capture?

Cheers

Dennis

Mine looks a bit different to yours Dennis.

For one thing I don't have a folder destination on the first Dialog box.

Not sure what's going on here but I just tried to do a general Update for the Sky and received a scripting error for the windoze update manage.

Hi Paul

In File Locations I have the attached panel.

From The Sky 6 Pro Help, it looks like I get my satellite elements from Celestrak, as I don’t have to sign in to another site.

Cheers

Dennis

Looks like that option is not available for me Dennis.

I'll try downloading a text file and importing it that way. Bit of a pain having to do updates that way though.
