I am after a simulation of galaxy collisions

Hi guys,

I am putting together a presentation about galaxies and toward the end I was going to insert something about collisions between galaxies. I know there are a number of videos on YouTube and other places, but I am looking for a video I can insert into a PowerPoint slide, so an MPEG or AVI or something similar. Does anyone have a link to something I can use? It will be part of a talk to an audience mostly over 20.

Thanks

Hi Trevor,

Is this useful to you?

I've spent many wet evenings playing with this simulator -- great fun!

Best,

I have a standalone executable "galaxy collider" on my HD somewhere. Will post it when I've found it

LOL! If you have an iPhone - I've just downloaded "Galaxy Collider" for mine. It's surprisingly complex an application. If you had the video-out cable for your phone you could use it as your carry-in-pocket demo system! You use the phones accelerometer to move in and around galaxies as they collide. It's quite a trick app.

You'll need iTunes to see this URL, but if you didn't have it I guess you don't have the iPhone or iPod Touch anyway...
