Yes, but there's more ...
Hi Dave & All,
Yep true but there's more! (It always pays to look closely at the photo credits).
On p64, 65 & 66 in the Deep Sky Delights column you will find three further images by Aussie IIS members. All of them are superb images and I was delighted to see them included:
Paul Haese from S.A contributed an image of Thor's Helmet (NGC 2359).
Seeker 372011 (Narayan Mukkavilli) from N.S.W contributed an image of NGC 3199.
Richardo (Rich Bowden) from S.A contributed an image of NGC 6164-5.
The last image of the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6188) was also contributed by an IIS member -- Paramount (Gordon Haynes) of Hereford, England.
Congratulations, well done and a big thank you to all of you. And double congrats to Paul for also making it into the image gallery for his portrait of Jupiter.
Best,
Les D

It's great to see shots by aussie imagers used to accompany articles, I have to say B&W digital sky survey images are pretty boring now.
Well done boys

Same me, I only noticed Paul & Trevor, in fact, I didn't even spot those other images (yet). It's good to see the local magazine printing Aussie's images.

Yes, its good to see some names that you recognise. Well done guys!
I had my "lunar possum" image featured as well, which is nice. (Still waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail, but I saw it at the newsagent last night.)
Cheers,
Stephen

Yep, I saw that as well. Good one, Stephen! Had you mentioned the curl of the tail mimicking the curl of Scorpius before? I didn't remember that.

I'm at work and the mag is at home. Was there also a Chris Wyatt (OBMY) comet pic also in the mag to add to the tally?

Stephen,
Your copy was definitely mailed Wednesday of last week - I've just checked the mailing list. If It hasn't arrived by Monday, please e-mail me and I'll get another copy in the mail.
Some great shots indeed in the October issue. There's more varied shots in the November/December issue too. January looks like it will have the David Malin award winning images.

Congratulations to Paul, Trevor, Narayan, Rich, Gordon, Chris and Stephen.
Well done and nice to see so many familiar names in there.
Also a big congrats to Greg, Les and the team for another great issue.
I'm really enjoying the read, especially the review of the new camera from QSI, very interesting.
Keep up the great work everyone.

Well congratualations Stephen. Being only really a newbie on IIS and having a bad memory, matching names to something I recognise is hard for this lad.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Nice to be published, but this is the first time I have had two images in one edition.
Thanks once again.
