CG5 mount runaway slews - specifically ASGT

Are there any other likely causes apart from power? The usual causes are low battery, pin on power socket loose, or the long power lead having too much voltage/current drop.

I'm getting runaways in the Dec motor but not the RA motor.

I can't remember hearing about any other causes off the top of my head.

Does it always runaway the same direction? i.e always north or always south? If so it may be a sticky button or short across PCB tracks in the handpiece...

Al.
