Google and the perseids

Take a look at www.google.com.au today.
The logo shows a nice meteor shower and if you click on it it seaches the perseids.

Yeah i noticed that too, i didn't click on it though! Thought it must have to do with the Perseids.......the only reason the Perseids are popular is that it's a Northern Hemisphere shower and we only get to see some of the straggler meteors!
It's funny how the Northern bias hits hard here.....

I noticed that too, but only after jumping on another computer.

I've got iGoogle set up on my main PC and im using the Solar System theme. Makes Google look pretty awesome and the picture appears to change from day to day.
