Up for sale is a Meade # 497 Autostar + #492 motor kit.
The 497 currently has 43g firmware. This Autostar has never been used in anger (actually, never been outside) and has only been used for testing. Comes in original box plus instructions.
The #492 kit includes 2 x DS motors, worm gears, Computer Control interface, battery pack, #494 controller and standard drive controller. Also a bag of hardware that contains two spur gears plus miscellaneous hardware.
All as new, never been under the stars.
The worm gears have been modified as part of a project to attach to a CG-5 style GEM. The project never eventuated and this kit has been sitting here gathering dust for a couple of years. You will need to re-modify or adapt the worms to suit your own specific needs.
This kit contains a total of 3 hand controllers - the #497, #494 (dumbed down HHC that can do goto's), and a standard controller for basic sidereal drive.
Reluctant sale but my EQ6 does all the work now and I'm unlikely to do anything with it, so this kit may as well go to someone who will not let it go to waste..
