Yes a great buy !45k km excellent. You can hear all of that great engine noise better with the TS.Hows the gate shifter? a bit different?

Firm...as is the clutch....nah, make that heavy.
Drained the transmission today and put some fresh Nulon 75w/85 in it.
Much better now.
They are really racing cars with plates. *Very* firm suspension. When near stopped very heavy steering..not fun at all to park...but on the freeway sheer delight.
Bringing it home, pulled into the servo at Goulburn...people started taking pictures of it. Not bad for a 15 year old car

1K=1000 hence 45,000. km
At around 5000 rpm I also realised a turbo was redundant, as was my drivers license if I persisted

While its a pity the steering wheel is on the wrong side  the Z06 is a sweeeeet machine....all I can say is take the opportunity should it arise! I'm sorry I did not do this years ago.

That can be altered if you want Peter but the whole point of a turbo is to produce lots of torque through the midrange. Spent quite a lot of time tunning STI rexs for black track work. Nice car by the way.

Understood. The "day" car is a German Kompressor model (no turbo lag)
The Maranello machine I'd like to keep original... As is, it's very hard to keep it under kindergarten Oz speed limits.

Don't blame you for keeping it original, it will hold its value much better in any case plus you would have to pay three times the purchase price to get any real gains in performance through hot up kits. Join a car club and go out on track days, heaps of fun and easy on the license. Just don't throw it into the wall .

thats fantastic , but i am pretty sure that was one of the cars TOP GEAR used in the arena earlier this year revving the freckle out of it
