Firefly - The Series

AM up to the last episode of FIREFLY, and cant bring myself to watch it, as know it will be finished :sadeyes : ... why cant they make a new series??
Have thoroughly enjoyed it though, and have fallen deeply in love with Captain Mal
Have also just watched the first seaspon of TORCHWOOD and enjoyed it too.
Have the last season of BSG somewhere, and have talked friends into downloading DOLLHOUSE (ta Humayun)

Yep - "Serenity"

I'm with you here. Firefly was some of the sassiest and best-produced scifi ever done. I miss the series and admit to watching reruns whenever they're on. A scifi western? Who woulda thunk it!

Alas, know the characters a bit more now, and know that some sad stuff happened in the movie

Ah, firefly,

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me..

it won lots of awards, but the producers didn't like the director, so they canned it.

It's a good episode to end on (on which to end-sorry).
My fave episode is the on with the antique pistol and the garbage dump.
You can be sure if a show is different, innovative, well-crafted, well-acted, quirky, amusing, visceral, interesting or any one or combination of the above, it will be axed in favour of Lastfattydancinginthehouseonthelost islandofsupermodelpopidolchefs.
Vale "Deadwood"
Pray for "Dexter"

I'm a bit of a SciFi addict, but only watched the first 2 episodes of Firefly, found it a bit "Ho Hum". Couldn't really get into it somehow.

the first didnt gell as horses and 1800's pistols with spaceships didnt work so well, but the serenity movie was better.

I found the first 3-4 episodes of Firefly difficult to watch, but gradually warmed up to it.
