Mars and Venus in pre-dawn sky

Hi all,

I was up early again this morning hoping to get some nice reflections in the Brisbane River. Unfortunately it was a bit hazy so there was lots of light polution, and there was also a band of cloud right where I didn't want it. Still, I got a few images - this one is probably the best.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Stephen

Lovely image Stephen, I particularly like how the tree is illuminated, looks brilliant.

You are becoming quite a master at this type of wide field photography and I enjoy what you do. I think its the way you seem to continually come up with a most interesting foreground feature that really adds to the astro content of the image.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks very much for the comments Chris, Trevor and Matt!

This image didn't really come out as I wanted due to the haze and cloud, so I wasn't very happy with it. I'll probably try again from the same spot later in August when the Moon joins Venus.

Cheers,
Stephen
