Nice concept. You can log and comment on each object when you've seen it.
I'd also recommend Heaven's Above! by Robert Bee for beginners. A binocular guide which has a detailed tour through 55 constellations seen by southern hemisphere observers. Available at BINTEL for $24.

I am part the way through the bino list (maybe a 3rd) and less than that thru the messier list. The Astronomical league has a southern binocular list which I am just starting as well.
I really like the IFAs guide, good directions & I am trying to sketch briefly everything i see - will be something to record & treasure when i finish. Although fro my Lat 75 will be doing real well
