Eta Carina

Turned the new scope to Eta Carina earlier this evening.
I managed to capture 18 minutes of 20sec subs @ ISO 800 before it sank behind the trees. Hoping to add more data soon to subdue the noise.

Canon 20d
iOptron Mini Tower
BD 8" Newt
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Paint Shop Pro and CS3

Very nice start JJJ. I love the way the DSLR brings out the OIII. It is already quite a pleasing image but will improve with more exposures.

Well done.

Nice image, Jeanette

Like the colours and the detail in the image. Pity you didn't get more subs.

nice and sharp, from aprocessing point of view you could raise the black point a bit to give it a bit more punch. but other than that... its looking good.

I'll echo what the others have said JJJ.. Looks very nice indeed!!
I'm with Clive on raising the black point a touch to boost the contrast a bit, but other than that, a fine image!

Took your advice and darkened the image a tad.
Thanks for looking.
