Is the 'bird strike' leading or following the GRS?

Hi all

I know I read this somewhere? Is the bird strike following the GRS?

Thanks in advance

Hi Matt,
The Bird Strike is following the GRS, currently when the GRS is on the Eastern limb the Bird Strike has just rotated into view from the Western limb in the South Polar region. Remember that through a Newt the image is inverted so South is up and West is to the right.

Cheers
Trevor

The Bird Strike is at about 216deg longitude, so if you use something like the Jupiter 2 program, you can see when it's crossing the CM (system II).

Thanks guys - I should have just looked at Quark's great 2 1/2 hour animation.

I was hoping to get out tonight to have a look but I am too tired! Well, I think I will set up and see - it looks very clear tonight!

Thanks again
